100most Magazine
Publication
As a graphic designer at 100Most (《100毛》) in 2016, I played a key role in shaping the visual identity of one of Hong Kong's most unique weekly publications. Launched in March 2013, 100Most is renowned for its sharp, fast-paced delivery of 100 of the week’s most notable topics, with each article ranging from 100 to 500 words. Published every Thursday, the magazine quickly became a staple for those seeking a blend of humor, opinion, and trending issues, all packed into bite-sized, visually captivating content.
During my time at 100Most, I designed various layouts that reflected the ever-changing themes and topics of the magazine. My work involved:
Typography Design: Creating custom typographic treatments that suited the tone of the articles while ensuring visual coherence and ease of reading.
Graphic Design: Designing bold and dynamic visuals that enhanced the storytelling, maintaining the magazine’s lively and irreverent brand identity.
Infographics: Developing clear, engaging infographics that turned complex information into visually accessible, easy-to-digest content.
I collaborated closely with the editorial team to ensure that each design element amplified the tone and message of the magazine. The rapid-paced nature of 100Most demanded flexibility and creativity, allowing me to develop a wide-ranging design portfolio that captured the essence of Hong Kong’s contemporary culture during this period.
